InvoSort

Receipt scanner for small businesses

Turn paper business receipts into records you can review.

Send a readable purchase-receipt photo through connected Telegram, or upload a receipt that has been scanned to PDF. InvoSort prepares the details available in the document and keeps the source close for checking.

Receipt records depend on the source

Capture what is visible. Review what is available.

A receipt may contain fewer fields than an invoice, and worn or faint paper can be difficult to read. InvoSort does not promise every line item, tax treatment, mileage record, or reimbursement detail.

Receipt

Evidence that a purchase occurred.

A purchase receipt often emphasizes the seller, transaction date, and paid total. InvoSort can prepare available document details for review without presenting the receipt as a complete expense report.

Invoice

A request or record for payment.

An invoice may include an invoice number, invoice date, supplier identity, currency, and total. For that broader document workflow, visit the small-business invoice scanner page.

Compare invoice scanning

Before you send a photo

Give a paper receipt a readable starting point.

The capture does not need to look polished, but the visible content matters. These checks help make the resulting first pass easier to assess.

  • Keep the complete receipt inside the photo, including the top and bottom edges.
  • Use even light and avoid glare across totals, dates, or merchant details.
  • Hold the camera steady and keep the receipt as flat as practical.
  • Review faint printing and unusual layouts carefully after processing.

Receipt questions

Set the right expectations for paper and scanned receipts.

Receipt capture prepares available document details for review; it is not a substitute for expense, reimbursement, accounting, or tax workflows.

Can I upload a receipt photo from the dashboard?

The dashboard currently accepts valid PDFs up to 20 MB, not image uploads. After connecting Telegram, you can send PNG, JPG, or JPEG files and Telegram photos, as well as PDFs, up to 20 MB.

Which receipt details can appear in InvoSort?

A processed record may include available details such as vendor, document date, total, currency, category, type, source, and status. The output depends on what is present and readable in the receipt, so important values need review.

Does InvoSort extract every receipt line item?

No line-item extraction promise is made. InvoSort prepares available document-level details for review and keeps the original receipt close so you can check what the structured record does and does not contain.

Is this an expense, mileage, or reimbursement tracker?

No. The receipt workflow is for received-document intake and review. It does not track mileage or reimbursements, connect payment cards, or determine whether a purchase has a particular accounting or tax treatment.

What affects the quality of a photographed receipt?

Blur, glare, shadows, faint printing, missing edges, unusual layouts, and unreadable text can reduce the available output. Capture the full receipt clearly and compare the prepared record with the original image.
